Just as there was an enormous amount migration in the last four centuries from around the world in the U.S. and other provinces in North America, there was a moment of thousands of years, when rivers like Saraswati huge and gigantic fountain were Indian, India was the first choice of destination of migration. Although many places in the world were covered with ice, the Indian subcontinent, with its great rivers and its tropical climate with respect, offers the ideal location for schools and homes. Each community had its own incoming tribal deity and the environment has become very polytheistic each community of people hundreds or thousands to have its own God. With thousands of deities found in every sense, the essence of religion itself was completely lost. It was necessary to stop shirk this and bring some common sense. This is when an institution called Saptarshi was formed.

Without these advantages, followers of the tribe would begin non-integrated to obtain a sense of their being a pagan cult pure, they would do so almost without agreeing to integrate their deity with Vedic deities. This was how a large number of deities were incorporated into the Vedic religion by the means of Vedas.
Any changes to the Vedas were required to be approved by this elite group of wise men. If the reasons are justified, they approved the changes and incorporated them in the Vedas. Otherwise, they rejected it and kept intact the Vedas without any contamination. From what appears, they are extremely stringent changes to the Vedas. Even date of Hinduism, a word Veda is normally considered as the final authority to the literal T. And this faith in the Vedas was built a tradition where the Vedas were very strictly and jealously guarded any changes whatsoever, unless the change is really warranted. It is this institution of the seven sages who founded Hinduism spending a lot of efforts over thousands of years in the unification of many traditions throughout civilization in a single religion of Hinduism that we see today. The Hindu trinity, the Hindu divine hierarchy, the Hindu festivals, and everything we see today were made by them. They are the ones who inserted Sukta Purusha, Narayana Sukta and Sri Sukta in the Vedas – the hymns, which are so important to religion today, once were not part of the Vedas. These hymns were the means by which integration has been done.
Saptarshi names carried over from one generation to another. For example, if Kasyapa died, his son took the name of Kasyapa and get inducted into Saptarshi. From time to time, for any reason, as one of the seven rishis die without having children, the names of one or several of the Rishis changed, giving us a different set of Saptarshi.
Religion was so inordinately addicted to these wise men who started be considered as representatives of the creator on earth. This slowly leads to their deification and they began to be mythologized. They were reported as the mind born son of God.
