How to get the software on a blank hard drive?
Just out of curiosity, how on earth do you get software on a computer newly built because I might consider building one in the next two months.
If you buy a CD of Windows or Linux, these drives are bootable. The display Start the BIOS is usually disabled on most PCs, but you can turn it on, and you can change the boot order by default. The BIOS is configured to verify certain records to an operating system. Provided it is configured to check the CD first, or there is no OS on the hard drive, it will boot from the CD.
